Immigration is a hot topic in America right now. The airwaves are filled with content that the entire world is witnessing and that message is that “America Is Open” but not for business, for migration. I had the privilege and honor of being birthed in our nation’s capital and in the very hospital that many Congressman and Senators had their children born into this world. I cannot really speak to the issue of immigration personally other than I am currently married to a former Philippine Citizen who is now after many years of regulatory hoops an American Citizen. America is a nation that has been termed as the World’s Great American Melting Pot because you will find every tribe and nation within it’s borders. Great American’s such as the names of Albert Einstein Germany), Alex Trebec (Canada), Levi Strauss (Germany) , Nikola Tesla, (Croatia) just to name a few. None of these came to America from their foreign birthplaces to “Belittle” America but to “Better” America and America is the Benefactor of their numerous talents. Today, I will be interviewing Craig Keshishian who is by heritage Armenian but by nationality American. Craig has a story to tell regarding his grandparents who came over from Armenia on the boat, went through Ellis Island as so many trod the same ground before them and settled in New York City and made a life for themselves and their children. Small Business is a familiar term in the Keshishian family as the roots were demonstrated in the lives of immigrants from Armenia. Craig is an incredible influencer in American Politics today and a proponent and stalwart supporter of Small Business as well. I for one am very interested in learning of the sacrifices that were borne by his Grandparents and the fruits of that labor that is now manifested in the life of their grandchild today. Join me as we turn the clock back and then pull it forward and meet Mr. Craig Keshishian.
