College Campus Rape: A Survivor's Story

Though headlines continue to remind us of the epidemic of rape on college campuses, little seems to be done about it. Indeed, we risk becoming desensitized to the scars this leaves on the rape victims, who remain faceless. Today's guest has come out of the shadows to confront her rapists at trial, and to urge other victims to find the courage to reclaim their lives. When Monica Korra, was contacted in Norway and offered a track scholarship, she traveled to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, as an Olympic hopeful. But, as a college sophomore there, returning home from a party one night, she was raped by three men and her life was changed forever. She's the author of Kill The Silence: A Survivor's Life Reclaimed, and today she tells us how she overcame the biggest race of her life... the race to survive.
