WESTERNS: A Lost Art?

WESTERNS: A Lost Art?
A good ole fashioned Western is hard to find these days. Why is this, and why should we care? Yes, there's gun violence in Westerns, but it's nothing like scenes in today's movies and video games, filled with assault weapons, mass shootings, explosions and special effects. Cowboy movies once cemented bonds between fathers and sons, and taught lessons of honor, chivalry, and the difference between right and wrong. Today's guest, Bob Brill, author of The Prescott Affair, the first in his series of books, Lancer: Hero of the West, exemplifies the passage of a dad's love of Westerns to his son. He is an award-winning journalist, who has covered presidents and other major news stories for top media outlets, including from his current position of anchor for the L.A. CBS affiliate, KNX radio.
