Death as a Life Guide

Death as a Life Guide
Already fascinated by the mysteries of death, sociologist Michelle Peticolas deepened her own understanding of death, and of grief, when she was faced with the deaths of both her parents within the same year. Join us as we explore the ways those losses opened her heart and led to her life’s work as a filmmaker exploring death and as a coach facilitating grief. Together, we’ll talk about how making her film series, Secrets of Life and Death, intensified her understanding of what was, and is, possible as an outgrowth of grief, if she allowed herself to follow every twist and turn of her experience! As she interviewed her subjects about their losses, she found in herself the capacity to face death and, in a fuller way, choose life. Today, she shares what she learned with both clients and audiences, following her calling to let death guide life.
