It is expected in the US that freelancers will make up the majority of the workforce by 2027 and also worldwide. In the UK, France and the Netherlands, freelance growth has outpaced overall employment growth. The number of freelancers doubled between 2000 and 2014, making them the fastest growing group in the EU labour market. One of the biggest driving forces behind the changes in our workforce is technology.
