Very often it is hard for leaders to ask for their own professional development because they believe it could be interpreted as sign of weakness. But leaders also deserve someone to help them enhance their potential. Additional training is one method, but there is also a new generation of development that helps build stronger leaders and as well as stronger organizations. It is coaching, but not always in the classical sense. There is a new generation of coaching which incorporates such practices such as Gestalt to help individuals reach peak performance. When it comes to coaching teams the new kid on the block is Systemic Team Coaching, which does not just look at the team as an isolated entity but uses a systemic approach that looks at everything from the individuals in the team, to the shareholders as well as the external influences that may affect the team.
