As today’s global economy becomes stronger, international executive positions are becoming more abundant, but not everyone has the leadership skills to achieve an international position, but among those that do, many are women. A woman at the helm of an international company brings diversity to the table, it can bring new ideas and insights but it can also be challenging for the women that take this path. Today the percentage of women sitting in international CEO positions varies only between 7-18%, depending on country. There is also a new trend for women not to take CEO positions, there a sudden death of female international CEOs while many women decide to “opt out” of these careers and take other paths. This episode will explore one women’s journey to an international CEO position. She will talk to us about the opportunities and challenges she faced.
