Strategic Partnerships: The Power of Collaboration How Leaders get Results through Collaborations and Partnerships. A Discussion with CEO, Jim Floros, of the San Diego Food
Strategic Partnerships: The Power of Collaboration Join Co-hosts Linda Shoob and John Jeanetta as we discuss the power of Collaboration and Partnerships in the non-profit environment. We will begin the show by talking with our guest Jim Floros, newly appointed as the President and CEO of Jacobs Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Mr. Floros previously served 20 years as the executive director and CEO of the Burn Institute in San Diego, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing fire and burn injuries and deaths. Under Floros’ leadership, the Institute became the leading burn foundation in the nation and is held as a national model. Before that, he served as Director of Community relations at the world headquarters of Project Concern International, a development agency that provides clean drinking water and immunizations in the poorest regions of the world. Increasingly, non-profits and public sector organizations are engaged in strategic collaborations with “unlikely” partners to build organizational capacity and expand the scope, breadth, depth and impact of services. Using several examples, where working across traditional boundaries resulted in positive outcomes that exceeded expectations, our hosts and guests will engage in a lively discussion of the key leadership skills and behaviors that make the difference in positive and successful partnerships. We invite our listeners to email or call-in questions lshoob@san.rr.com or 866-472-5789.Still to be finalized based on our phone discussion this afternoon.
