Leadership Calling

Cheryl Esposito welcomes Kimberly Weichel co-founder & director of the Institute for Peacebuilding, and co-author of Healing the Heart of the World. Kim says she is living her calling. “A calling is that thing you must do, above all else.” And if we deeply listen to our self, we will know our own calling. “…we are all interconnected, we individually and collectively make a difference, it’s time to ‘be the change we want to see’, and it is important for each of us to bring our unique gifts forward.” Time to be our calling. Time to step into our own leadership. Kim has long known her own calling: peace. She sees conflict the world over connected to a lack of discernment between “standing for” something and “fighting against” something. The work she does is “a stand for peace.” Currently she is bringing peacebuilding to Washington D.C., consulting and teaching the art of PeaceBuilding (not peacemaking!) and Conflict Transformation (not conflict resolution!)
