Embracing the New Normal in Education
Education during the New Normal is scary, unpredictable and frustrating for parents and children. In the midst of our current challenge, schools are trying to transform their approaches offering a mix of traditional classes (with students attending in person) along with distance learning. Guest Karen Gibson, an educator for over 25 years, has taught in public schools and a psychiatric hospital. She founded Brain Builders in 1999, a private tutorial service, and offers virtual tutorial sessions. Karen will share parenting tips and creative educational tools and resources to support parents and their children. She believes that we can still offer a quality learning environment with simple strategies that can be implemented at home. Author of Mama's Gotta Let Go: How to Let Go without Losing Your Sanity, you can find her on Letting Go with Aloha YouTube Channel and Facebook Group, Mama's Gotta Let Go offering empowering strategies for parents and children.
