How Healing Your Inner Child Can Empower the Way You Parent
If we don't learn how to shine Love and Light on our inner child, we may subconsciously pass on unhealthy habits to our children. As a parent coach and educator, Karen Gibson will share how to start healing your inner child to empower the way you parent your children. The biggest predictor of how we will be as parents is how we perceive our past. So, it's vital to acknowledge our childhood wounds to start the healing process if we want to be better present-day parents. Being aware of our triggers will help us trace back our feelings to specific childhood events that continue to trigger our inner child as adults. Listening to our unresolved feelings such as anger over unmet needs, rejection, insecurity, and anxiety while giving ourselves permission to experience and empathize instead of pushing them away is the key to identifying and validating the emotional pain we experienced in our childhood. Children will benefit from their parents healing their inner child, so they don't have to suffer from the same triggers their parents suffer as adults.
