The Forever Changing New Normal: Empowering Parents

Distance learning, hybrid learning, and asynchronous learning are all new adaptations to our children's learning environment since the global pandemic began. How has the new normal forever changing the way our children are being taught? Why has parenting required major modifications since the pandemic? COVID-10 has radically changed the way teachers carry out lesson plans, the way students learn and electronically turn in assignments, and the way parents are facing challenges they've never faced prior to this deadly virus. As a tutor who has conducted hundreds of virtual tutoring sessions as well as in-person sessions wearing her mask and abiding by the social distancing protocols since April 2020, Guest Karen Gibson has experienced new academic challenges as an educator.
