WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO TRULY DWELL IN LOVE?
"In order to profit by this path and ascend to the dwelling places we desire, the important thing is not to think much, but to love much - St. Teresa of Avila
"You will find when you look upon your life, that the moments when you really lived are the moments when you've done things in the spirit of love" -Henry Drummond
Am I dwelling in love? Love is our natural state of being and sanctuary of truth, peace and freedom. When we dwell in the consciousness of love, we shed fear that makes us feel unworthy, anxious and stressed. When we are loving, we have better relationships with ourselves and others.
Love is more than just an endearing word used casually with the assumption that it is understood. Love is a selfless choice that inspires us to be our best selves. Whether grand or subtle, our expressions of love are unique to each of us. Our desires, longings, and yearnings point us back to our innermost desire to love and be loved. To dwell in love is to overcome fear.
love is action and essential to our overall wellbeing. Dr. Jean Marie shares the Wholistic Model of Love including nine ingredients in the Recipe of Love: Patience, kindness, humility, courtesy, generosity, unselfishness, guilelessness, good temper and sincerity adopted from Henry Drummond's analysis and Spectrum of Love. These ingredients reflect your divine self and natural state of being.
As we practice and embody love in our daily lives, we overcome fear. How we feel about ourselves impact all aspects of our lives.
