A Parent’s Perspective – Raising An Autistic Child

The number of autistic children born over the last ten years has increased considerably. How do parents handle the news of “a special needs” child? What do you do? How do you care for this child? Seth Fowler, co-author of the book, Look At My Eyes with his wife Melanie, have written a candid and poignant book about their life with son William who was diagnosed with autism. Seth will share their experiences of shock, denial, grief and how they learned to educate themselves on caring for their child, themselves and each other as life presented them with this unexpected turn. He will also share recommendations on community resources that were helpful to them in caring for their son. Join us for this interesting show on Friday May 15, 2012 at 10:00am Pacific time.
