Ep. 1228: Gen X Women (Encore) and Ep. 1229: Experiencing Death
Kathryn interviews Ada Calhoun, NY Times best-selling author of “Why We Can't Sleep: Women's New Midlife Crisis.” Calhoun sheds light on the cultural and political challenges facing Gen X women and surmises that they should reframe the story of their lives and mistakes and learn to see themselves as “heroines worth rooting for.” She’s collaborated on several NY Times best-sellers and written for the NY Times, The Oprah Magazine, New York and The New Republic. Kathryn also interviews CEO & Chief Medical Officer at Hospice Buffalo Christopher Kerr MD, PhD, author of “Death Is But a Dream: Finding Hope and Meaning at Life's End.” He suggests that end-of-life experiences ought to be “recognized as evidence of the life-affirming and inspiring resilience of the human spirit.” Kerr earned his MD as well as a PhD in Neurobiology and his research has received international attention and has been featured in The NY Times, Atlantic Monthly and BBC.
