Watching Psychopaths and Sugar Danger

Kathryn interviews writer and producer Joel Silberman, author of the LA Times article “Why do we love to watch psychopaths?” The success of HBO’s “The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst” and shows like CSI, Dexter, and The Blacklist prove that audiences everywhere are drawn to the in’s and out’s of manipulation, psychology and murder. But why? Silberman poses this question to actors, authors, producers, and psychologists in the entertainment industry to find out why do we love to watch psychopaths. Kathryn also interviews peripheral nerve surgeon Dr. Richard Jacoby, author of “Sugar Crush: How to Reduce Inflammation, Reverse Nerve Damage, and Reclaim Good Health”. A diet full of sugar and carbohydrates can be linked to severe, life-threatening diseases such as heart disease, Alzheimer’s, MS, and cancer. In “Sugar Crush”, Dr. Jacoby puts forth the groundbreaking argument that carbohydrates (sugar) + trauma = nerve damage, pain, and dysfunction.
