“When Your Adult Child Breaks Your Heart” & “Emotional Memoirs”

Kathryn interviews adult & forensic psychiatrist Dr. Joel Young, author of “When Your Adult Child Breaks Your Heart: Coping with Mental Illness, Substance Abuse, and the Problems That Tear Families Apart”. With the December 14th anniversary of the Newtown school shooting, this is a good time to look forward and ask what resources are available to parents of mentally-ill adult children. Dr. Joel Young uses his experience as Medical Director of the Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine to help connect parents in need with psychiatric support services for their adult children. Kathryn also interviews Grammy award-winning vocalist Lani Hall Alpert, author of “Emotional Memoirs & Short Stories”.
