Bill Hanney is an award-winning theatre producer and business owner who will speak about the upcoming seasons at Theatre By The Sea and North Shore Music Theatre. With decades of experience in live entertainment, Hanney will give audiences a behind-the-scenes look at how professional productions are created, from choosing shows and building creative teams to staging, design, and production.
In 2006, Hanney purchased and revitalized Theatre By The Sea, the historic 500-seat summer theatre and restaurant in Matunuck, Rhode Island. His leadership restored the venue and re-established it as a popular destination for high-quality performances.
Hanney is also the Owner and Producer of North Shore Music Theatre, one of New England’s leading regional theatres. He led its successful re-opening in 2010, helping return it to prominence with its innovative staging and Broadway-caliber productions.
