How Fear and Desires Can Shape One's Decision Making

How Fear and Desires Can Shape One's Decision Making
Tune in when Patricia interviews Lital and Elad, two Israel Soldiers who are participating in the StandWithUs Israeli Soldiers Tour. The soldiers speak in dozens of cities across North America each Spring, in venues including college campuses, high schools, synagogues, and churches. StandWithUs is dedicated to informing the public about Israel and to combating the extremism and anti-Semitism that often distorts the issues. In the second half hour tune in as Patricia interviews author and cardiologist Dr. Antonio Barquet, MD who describes the driving forces behind one’s actions in his new book “Why Are You: A Sense of Identity.” A key component in Dr. Barquet’s behavioral study focuses on how fear and desire can shape one’s decision making. Barquet uses insights he has gleaned from Buddhist training to help his patients deal with chronic diseases by educating them on why they make the choices they do.
