Sharon Hart-Green:Tragedy and Healing

Sharon Hart-Green:Tragedy and Healing
In the first half, Patricia interviews Sharon Hart- Green, author of Come Back for Me: A Novel. The book is a story of a young Hungarian Holocaust survivor on a quest to find his sister and a separate story of a Toronto teenager whose life is shattered by her uncle's death. These two stories come together in Israel and create connections between generations. Loss, trauma, memory, and the ties of family are the elements that weave together this panoramic story. She will discuss how the novel deals with the scars left by tragedy and the possibilities for healing. In the second half, Patricia interviews Joanna Charnas, author of 100 Tips and Tools for Managing Chronic Illness. She will discuss how chronic illness demands constant mindfulness and management and that it is a process that constantly evolves over a lifetime. She provides the reader with one hundred different methods for accomplishing this task, offering personal examples that are humorous heartfelt, and insightful.
