SHORTLISTED: Women in the Shadows of the Supreme Court

Renee Knake Jefferson is a professor at the University of Houston Law Center. Hannah Brenner Johnson is the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at California Western School of Law in San Diego. They will be discussing their new book ShortListed: Women in the Shadow of the Supreme Court, where they tell the largely forgotten stories of nine extraordinary women who broke through barriers and endured routine indignities to build influential legal careers and advance the ranks of women in state and federal courts. The authors reveal these inspiring, overlooked women as complex, often intriguing individuals and as valuable mentors to all women who aspire to a position of leadership or power- whether in law, medicine, business, academia, or politics.
