William H Schubert The Big Book

William H Schubert The Big Book
In the first half hour Patricia interviews Dr. Judy Stone, daughter of Hungarian Holocaust survivors, a physician specializing in infectious diseases, and an author. She will discuss her book Resilience: One Family’s Story of Hope and Triumph over Evil, a study in human contrasts: kindness and callousness, tolerance and hatred, humanity and cruelty. She will share what she has learned through extensive research and her family's story of survival. In the second half hour Patricia interviews William H Schaberg, a scholar, author, and rare book dealer. He will discuss his new book The Big Book, which is the the history of the creation of Alcoholics Anonymous, told through extensive archival research, relying on primary, real-time documents. Schaberg has pieced together a narrative demythologizing popular anecdotes about the early history of AA.
